Ok everyone! I am freaking out! I went out to my big girl coop this morning and to my surprise I see something black looking with 4 legs a long bushy tail and looked sorta like a small dog,[IMG] I didnt see the face of it because it saw me and began leaping through the woods behind the coop![IMG] My big girls didnt act to nervous but I dont think they saw it. [IMG]

What I am worried about is I have putting my chicks outside (3 weeks old) in their run which is beside the big girls run. They are bantams so they are alot smaller than the big girls so Im afraid if it is a predator it will go after them first. What should I do??? [IMG] They just keep running up to me in the crate when I walk by trying ot get me to take them out. [IMG]

Any advice on what it may be would be appreciated! [IMG]

From your description, it sounds like a fisher cat. They can dig and climb. Just make sure your run is secure, and you'll be fine. You might want to refrain from free ranging them for now, or only when you're outside.
    Good luck! [IMG]
