Predators in Alabama?

I think my property is the only one with chickens, at least, in my part of the neighborhood. I have had someone steal my dog and some cats...but not a chicken.

But, then again, I didn't have chickens at the time...Someone actually PULLED OVER in the middle of the road, rolled down their window, and said "That's a BIG chicken!!!!" Heehee...they were talking about my laying pullet, Lady.

Agreed. I've even heard of the particularly snarky racoon that would sit and UNWEAVE the chicken wire. I recommend hardware cloth or something like that, that is welded.
