How do you know what kinds of predators are in the area where you live? I've looked online, but no luck. Does it even matter? Should I just pretend like all predators are in my area?

I asked my neighbors to find out predators. If you have a neighborhood group chat it’s even better. Some people living in my neighborhood have seen EVERYTHING, some have lived their for 50+ years, and they are much more reputable. I live in South Florida. I know there are some things we definitely have, like raccoons, opossums, and coyotes. I also know there are some things we definitely don't have, like wolves. I just don't want to want to go crazy protecting from things that we don't have, but I also want to be sure I'm thorough.Where do you live?

Or just check out their site online. Most list all the wildlife in your state.Assume the worst and hope for the best. Then call your local Dept of Natural Resources. They will let you know exactly shat to look out for.
