Counting Chickens B4 They're Hatched
How long do you think it takes for them to move on when they cant get in the coop? X
So far, the motion sensor lights seem to be chasing them away.

Fingers crossed for youI actually bought one of these today but it didnt come with batteries so a job for tomorrow x
I've put the surviving ducks back in their old house at night which I think/hope is foxproof so it will be difficult to tell if it comes back. I've also added strings covered in tin cans and bells with shiny things on, got my boys to pee round the garden and have the dog on duck duty during the day....I'm really hoping that should all do it, we buried what was left of boris and it hasn't been dug up so maybe it was a fluke visit? XThanks. The one I bought is solar powered and came with a solar cell to catch the light. If yours works, please let us know.
You can also buy predator replant lights on Amazon, they seem to work for me. You can laos get predator pee, use cougar, or something big and scary. I can provide links if your e intrested
Not sure if this helps but when the bobcat comes into the area, I make sure my dogs pee around the perimeter of my land. The bobcat seems to stay off my land but visits all the neighbors that don't have dogs.Thanks. Coyotes, fox, and hawks are the main predators around here. There's a bobcat around, too. Not sure what would scare a bobcat if anything, but I'll take a look.
Ya, I think that Cougar, (if you have them of course,) should scare them all away except for hawks, since Couragars are a threat to all of those species. The predator lights will work against all of those predators too, probably not hawk though since the lights work at night. You can buy bird prep leant disks though, there supposed to scare birds of prey away.Thanks. Coyotes, fox, and hawks are the main predators around here. There's a bobcat around, too. Perfect! It has to work the same as the predator pee to, I am intrested to see if it works! That's easy enough to do! I have two big dogs, but haven't been wanting to take them for any walks around here because I don't want them to find any dead rabbits. There's too much acreage for them to do the perimeter, but they could do it around the chicken coop.![]()
