Preditor that can slide open chicken door take 8 chickens

Which door was opened? The one on the outside that swings, or the one by the ramp that slides? Is it enclosed? There are things that can slide those door, but if hers is anything like mine, the track gets full of poop and isn't always easy to clean, making sliding much more difficult.

I'm with @Shadrach somebody forgot to close it and made up a little story.

I definitely think there would be feathers inside also. Those are very small for 8 full size chickens. I use one as a grow-out coop for babies only.

I do hope she finds some that ran away to hide, and may turn up.
It was the sliding door and I thought it was a little difficult to slide. She has another small coop attached to her chicken yard so they can go to either but seem to like to go into the new one at night. She still has 2 chickens but the rest are gone. She never had a problem with preditors but is newer to chickens - about a year.

It was enclosed but it was attached to the chicken run with the front door and that either was taken off for a tight fit or wasn't lowered. I think it was the first.

I would put a game camera us to see if the predator returns. Not long ago I had something open a gate to one of my coops pen and killed 2 birds. I never found the bodies but I found a lot of feathers outside of the pen. Whatever it was also knocked down the post the electric wire is attached to so I'm sure it got a nice shock. I wired the gate shut and the next morning the gate had been tampered with again but this time the predator didn't get it opened. We have been having off and on again fog so I have a camera pointed at the coop and pen but didn't get a picture of what tampered with the gate. I did see both a fox and a coyote on video. Here is a video of the coop.
