I’ve seen some pretty cheap, film-flammy coops at my feed store. Also many on Craigslist listed as “barely used” which tells me novices like myself thought they’d be fine and then realized it’s just expensive lawn decor.

There is one that looked decent and reinforceable, the OverEZ Chicken Coop, but there was barely any ventilation. I found a local manufacturer that makes sheds, kennels, and coops, but prices start at $7,000! Definitely NOT in my budget.
Yup that's why a 10x10 kennel and a bunch of free wood came in real handy. Like others have said though it took longer to build due to mostly weather here.

Oh my goodness you’ve been through so much! I’m sorry to hear about your mother passing last year. The death of loved ones puts things into perspective.

You obviously are very resilient and it sounds like you and your family are very dedicated to each other and have your priorities straight. That’s a beautiful thing!

Meh, mostly I think I'm just really stubborn ;):p Thank you, though :love

If your looking for prefab this would be the way to go and they ship it to you.
Also this isn't the only one just an example of what is out there. You may also have shed builders near by you that do coops as well. The one above has a nice selection and varied sizes also

+1 for Horizon Structures - I just bought my coop from them (however I live in NJ - not all that far from them in PA) - I was able to do a lot of customizing and am very happy with the product - very durable and "done right".
