Preferred forum for organizing group orders?

I want to find some local folks(county or two radius) that will go in on an order of chicks,(as I want 5 not 25) but I don't know what the appropriate or preferred forum would be.
I see:
"Raising baby chicks"
"Chicken breeders and hatcheries"
"where am I? Where are you?"(under the social category)

and of course there is the buy~sell~trade section but I'm not really looking for a seller or trying to sell anything.

Any suggestions?

The "where are you?" forum seems totally dominated by the State threads and those move so fast my inquiry would likely just be swept up in the current.
Maybe the states(or reasonably sized geologic regions) should have their own sub-forums under the "where are you?" forum category so that people in those regions can have more normal thread topics?

I might help if you put where you are located- a lot of us sell baby chicks, maybe you can find what you are looking for locally.

Maybe starting a thread in the breeders and hatcheries thread??? Not sure how it would be organized so people could link up their transactions though. That would definetly be a task! Maybe a local ad on craigslist would be better to find someone to share an order with??

This may be a mute point for me now, anyway, as I have just discovered a local breeder of several varieties that I want.
Still, this thread or the creation of an appropriate sub-forum might be useful for others who wish to combine mail orders of poultry stuff, either chicks, bulk supplies, or shared equipment.
