If you want to be certain, get an ultrasound or x-ray. That could at least give you an idea on how many, if any, pups to expect. It is most likely she is going to have pups--but, false pregnancy is also a possibility--so a Vet visit is not an entirely bad idea. Both dogs are very nice looking! Good luck!

Spay and neuter your dogs. Having puppies just for the sake of having puppies and just because they're cute is no reason to make your dog go through it.

Agreed, not to mention how hard it is to find homes for them. Even purebreds end up in shelters -- especially large breeds.

If you can't guarantee a home for each puppy, you shouldn't breed IMO.

I’m letting her have this litter and then fixing her. I haven’t made a welping box yet. I plan on doing that too. I’m not very ready for her to have pups and no one is home from early in the morning to later in the afternoon. I feel kicks now. What stage is she at and how long until she should have them?

I'm sorry, but these are both reasons to have her spayed ASAP.

The fact that this is her first litter increases her chances of having complications significantly. Someone need to be available 24/7 in case something goes wrong and she has complications or delivers prematurely.

Spaying can and will be done on pregnant animals -- I just recently had one of my rescue cats spayed while she was pregnant.

I just going to prepare her box this weekend and hope that she has them after my children’s school is out.( Next Wednesday) That way, there will be someone home 24/7. If not and I notice she goes into labor, I will stay home. I really don’t want to have her spayed during pregnancy. I’m doing that after she has these pups

Do you have homes planned for the puppies yet?

Females can have puppies on their first heat.

Unless you are a breeder, or you know what you are doing, fix your dogs.

if you don't have homes, spay abort is an option.

Firstly, you can't "sell" animals on Craigslist. It's against the TOS. You can only rehome them with a small fee.

Second, if you can't guarantee a home for at least ten puppies, you need to have her spayed. It will be easier on mom, has less risk of complications, and is better than trying to find homes for puppies that you can't guarantee will be taken care of.

As I said before, there's a lot of purebreds in shelters. They get put down just as fast the rest of them. The 72-hour rule doesn't care about what breed or how young the dog is. No-kill shelters will transfer their animals to kill shelters when they run out of room.

Puppies are cute and all, but these are lives we're talking about. You need to consider the amount of stress that this is going to put mom through, the risk of complications especially since this is her first litter, and the difficulty of finding suitable homes for 10+ large dogs. They don't stay puppies forever.

The only time dogs should be bred is when they're purebreeds and you have a waiting list for homes in advance. Otherwise, with the amount of dogs in shelters, you're dooming at least one of the puppies to it.
