Update: I’m keeping one puppy and some already have homes. Duchess isn’t feeding them enough and I’ve tried pushing her down and bringing the puppies to her but she always gets up. However, she is very protective of them and likes watching them. They will be 3 weeks tomorrow. I’ve fed all the puppies with soft/wet food and they like it. Should I continue doing this? Or should I bottle feed them? How can I get Duchess to feed them more?
She’s getting lots to eat and making plenty of milk but just not feeding them on her own regularlyI don't know one way or the other about bottle feeding.
Definitely keep offering them puppy food-- that is what they will need to eat when they are weaned anyway, and 3 weeks is an appropriate age to be starting it.
Make sure Duchess is getting enough to eat. If she doesn't eat enough, she won't be able to make enough milk.

and watch them gobble it up! they may think its a play toy at first then they will notice that its food, every litter of ours we allways have this one pup that ends up in the midle of the tray lol!if she wont feeed get some goats milk, thats what we do with our litters when the mom stops feeding. soak puppy food in water till its soft and mushy, then put it on a tray amd pour goats milk on it, and for a extra treat, if you want, you can put some scrambled eggs in the food, no sesoning.
Good idea! All the puppies have teeth now. That’s probably why she won’t feed them. I’ll start to transition them to puppy food.
