Pregnant goats. First timers.

Sorry for not updating. Lilly's kid hasn't been fed by a syringe in 11 days now! He is nursing very well from his dam and is jumping around and playing with the other kid.
Tilly's kid is also doing well. When he was born his area was very swollen looking. After a few days I realized he was having trouble peeing! Until I could get him to a different vet than we used to go to, I gently squeezed the swollen area, which helped the pee come out. The vet fixed it, and said that the hole was too small for him to properly urinate. He is fine now and is also running around and playing! :) between the sleepless nights, tears, running to town to get medicine, and lots of praying.. we made it through and I now have 2 kids happily jumping and playing! :) Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and advice!I really appreciate it!!

This is a photo recently taken of Tilly's kid named Happy Hooves.

Such an up and down story we are pretty sure our goat is pregnant and according to the signs she should kid soon. she has been laying down constantly and for a goat who would sit and let me pet her its very unusual that she gets very nervous and flicks her tail at me when i try to pet her now. Should we get a vet out here and try to get a sonogram done?

You will probably get more response if you start a new thread. Unless you were the OP on this, I don't have time to go back and look. Why do you believe she is pregnant, and what signs are you seeing other than what you mentioned that she is close to kidding? If she is that close, it's a little late in the game to have a vet check for verification of pregnancy. Is this her first time? Is she uddered up? Are her ligaments soft, hard, or gone? Is she nesting/pawing?

Why do you want a sonogram? Either she is pregnant or she isn't. If she is close you can tell yourself. Stand behind the doe and clasp your hands together right in front of her udder. Push up sharply. You should be able to feel the kids when they come back down. If your goat is pregnant and just lying around, that is not a good sign. Is she eating her hay? Grain? If she is not eating, or very little, and is just lying around she could be coming down with pregnancy toxemia.

I didnt want to start a new thread because, people are busy and i didnt want to waste time if she isnt. She is pawing at things but i didnt know that was a symptom. Yes we just got her and waited till she was old enough to breed. We bought her with her twin sis and at first we just thought she was growing a bit faster than her sis but she is HUGE compared to sis (the sis wasnt in with the buck, as first timers at this we didnt want to breed them both) also her stomach is really tight, like a drum. If by nesting you mean lying around all day than, yes also she also always lays in the same spot. She has been getting a bigger udder but it isnt tight. Havent checked ligaments.
