I figured out the hard way last year that it's best to not wait until after the snow stops to shovel. We had a large amount of snow in one day and I thought it best to wait until the snow stopped; then, it was so deep I had trouble shoveling it and it took simply forever! This year, I'll go out every few hours and shovel the areas that I shovel in the run as the snow falls.
Preparing for a blizzard, any advice

I will probably need some of these povisions being home with hubby, 15 yo, 13 yo on the 8th and already complaining about bad weather for her birthday!, and 11 yo. Guess we will have to make a store run in case we can't get to town.

We had drifts last year of about 5 feet - and it was annoying!

If it gets bad here my hubby would have to WALK, the end of the drive (street side)is very steep.
I've told him before to call if that happens, and I'll ride down on the quad and pick him up.
His work is close enough that he could WALK from there if he had to.
Yep, just hoing to make it home on Friday morning after work. Ihate being stuck in town and having to work extra hours when it has been a long week already!
