Preparing to set call and pekin duck eggs! Hatch day should be March 4, 2021 if all goes well!

Oh my gosh! I was trying to locate the bill and looking through the safety hole I put in the egg when I felt a hole on the other end of the egg! To my shock I saw that the baby was in the small end and had made a hole all by itself! The egg was facing downwards too! I wonder how long it has been like that! No wonder it was peeping!

Oh no! I just went to go check on the babies and Pipsqueek was dead. I don’t know what happened. She was fine about an hour ago. I am completely heartbroken. Now poor little pickle cries and cries. Hopefully the baby I’m assisting hatches. My poor little baby.

If this baby in the incubator doesn’t hatch do you think Cami would accept Pickle? I’m not sure what else to do. I don’t want to take one of Cami’s babies. I’m really hoping the little malposition that I’m assisting will hatch.

Help! I’ve got an emergency! It seems one of Cami’s babies has aspirated. It has foam coming out it’s mouth and nose and it’s breathing through it’s mouth. Is there anything I can do? It’s running around with the others. I’m so worried! I don’t want to lose another baby.

I’m not sure what to say. It’s still running around? Maybe it just sneezed up some water?

It’s still running around. It’s still peeping too. I’m not sure what happened. It’s still gasping and has foam coming out it’s nostrils and mouth. Do you think it has food stuck? They have access to water that they can dunk their heads in. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it. I hope Cami accepts this little if it ends up being a single.

It’s still alive and wandering around. Still has some foam but not nearly as much. Still gasping but is a bit better. I tried massaging the throat and crop but it didn’t seem to help.

It just drank about 40-50 minutes ago. I will get a video now. Thanks for all the help.
