Preparing to set call and pekin duck eggs! Hatch day should be March 4, 2021 if all goes well!

Anyone available to offer advice and/or suggestions?
My very first one to internally pip very early Thursday morning still hasn't made any progress. I noticed a bruise right along the air cell line, so I decided to turn my safety hole into a peek hole this morning. This evening I opened up the air cell more and it looks like there is still a large vein up top above it's bill and foot. I believe this one is malpositioned with its feet over it's head. I took some pictures. Please feel free to share your thoughts. So it's been well over 48 hours since the internal pip and the duckling was all up in the air cell which made the pip undeniable. Also, it hasn't been chewing or yawning for the past 20 minutes that I've been standing here looking at it trying to figure out what to do but now I look over and it's chewing again. I need to make a video. Are some just really slow getting through the process? It's Bill is clear and it's breathing fine, so I'm not in a rush to get it out but I'd love to know more and if there is anything I should do other than patiently wait and observe. The only other thing going on is the same two that made their external pip today but I keep hearing someone tap on occasion, so progress is happening, just very very slowly

I am by far less experienced than most, but it looks okay to me. I would just keep that membrane moist and wait for those veins to absorb more.

I believe it must have pipped on a vein causing the bruise, but I wonder if that's had anything to do with it taking so long to absorb everything, well other than just because it's a duck and you know all too well the time they take, (pointing at you, Roxy 😂)

Aztecs!! So awesome. I'm so interested in these little guys. Can't wait to see what your group looks like.
Hopefully I won't induce Aztec overload with pictures. So many times I've had to actually put effort into not posting about my sweet little Calls. Well they're not so little anymore. Where did the time go? These little bantam ducks are absolutely precious! I still love my four big ducks, but it seems easier to create bonds with these little ducks. I love seeing pictures of your precious little ones. Are you still planning on having a friend take the newest calls? Does that mean that Fishy Joe will be going to a new home or were you talking about another group (or did I make this entire scenario up/dream it? <Sadly, I'm honestly wondering this 😂

I quit getting alerts for this thread again. So exciting about your Aztecs Heather!! Can't wait to see pics.

Roxy has some perfect cheeks! Butter looks as precious as always! What is Roxy's color called? You've got some gorgeous ducklings. Everytime I see this, I keep thinking "those babies are so brave" 😂 This slow mo gives them such a brave bada$$ vibe and they don't even have to do anything but just be cute 🤣 I don't know how many times I've been back to look at this post!
Which baby is the one in the back? Is it the biggest one or does the "motion picture" 🤣 just give that appearance?

Thank you!! I personally love all her chins. 🤣 I believe Nat (or possibly Shaw) called her a gray pied?

The one in the back is Flipper. She is actually the same size as the larger yellow girl. They are both the biggest out of that group. Which is crazy because Flip used to be the smallest.
