Yes, I figured that is what happened with these guys. They are so sweet, so I tend to think they were handled and played with. There are 5 of them. Three black, one of which I think may be a too, one white and one reddish brown. We have two other Silkies about the same age who are very white; we got them and our Silkie hen Ursula from a breeder near us. Here are some more pictures.You have a Buff, White and Black Silkie. Clear photos of the combs and crests would help us with gender, but I believe the black may be a hen, and the Buff a rooster. Can't tell with out close up pics of the white.
Kudos to you for saving them! Thats is so amazing, they are such happy and lucky chickens.
Sadly this time of year people impulse buy a lot of chicks. Then when they realize how big they get they dump them.
Because the age is not certain, I am not sure if the one in the third picture is a pullet or cockerel. But, I believe you have atleast 2 cockerels. But, since their age is not certain and silkies are harder to sex in general. I would wait for either an egg or a crow. The buff one is a cockerel for sure though.
