I made my order IN the beginning of FEBRUARY

The week it was supposed to ship, they called me, "OH I AM SORRY, WE COULD NOT FULFILL YOUR ORDER, IT WILL HAVE TO BE NEXT WEEK."

After FOUR MONTHS they *couldn't fulfill my order of 6 chicks*

Then, I get a text/email at 8pm tonight saying they shipped.

I check the tracking number, and despite the fact that I spent $48 on overnight shipping, they sent it the shitty slow way, and it says it won't arrive until THURSDAY.

In this heatwave, I'm pretty sure I'm going to open a box of dead chicks.

I'm disgusted. What a waste of life.

(1) They should not have sent chicks this week AT ALL DUE TO THE WEATHER.
(2) They should have offered apologies and refunds or exchanges or changes.

But no. Just want to keep that bottom line rolling. d i s g u s t e d. I should have cancelled and refunded the order myself long before this, I will never ever buy chicks in the mail ever again.

If I somehow miraculously get a call tomorrow morning for the chicks, I'll happily, HAPPILY eat crow.

But somehow, I doubt it.

I know this is easier said than done, but don't trust the postal date! When I shipped from Meyer last month, I also got a Thursday delivery estimate, but they overnighted and were home by 1pm Tuesday. I would also be very concerned about them in the heat wave. I almost had chicks shipping today, but decided to cancel even before I knew about the weather. Completely agree that they should have rescheduled the delivery!

They are in Iowa, which isn't too far - I've ordered from Mt. Healthy last year and they came overnight (they are in Ohio)

It's 7 am so I am ready for that post office call, I HOPE I am wrong, I reallllly do.

But tracking shows they haven't left the facility in Iowa yet - where they were dropped off at 4pm yesterday.

If it’s any consolation that tracking is nearly wrong every time. Once I thought I had some ducklings stuck in St Louis for four days, then all of a sudden the local post office was telling me to come pick them up. It was the wrong local post office, too.

Yeah, but it still took four days for them to arrive yeah?

Ducklings are much hardier than chicks, four days would spell demise for them I fear.

I hope I get a call this morning or by noon (it can be either) I hope I am wrong!

Yeah tracking was alllllll wrong on mine. It showed accepted by the post office.....then nothing.....then arrived at my local post the next day. No other tracking in between.
