She is so so soft and smooth. I wish she wasn't so afraid

Oh that's torture, not being able to hold them yet... The one without the beard, my girls aptly named "Wildie"... The others are friendly but won't let me puck them up, but Wildy has NO intention to let me hold her. Her sister Chipmunk, however, will hop up on my shoulder any time I squat down. They have just as unique personalities as they have feathers it seems.

And they are, so so soft. Makes me wish I had feathers lol

She's missing :'( the neighbors dog broke his chain and at first I could only find two very frightened hens they were in our twig pile in the leanto. Then about an hour later another one appeared. Then I found my brave and loving leghorn cowering in a corner of the barn behind tomato cages and netting. She tried to get away from me. An hour or so later two more birds appeared frightened but not harmed. The Easter egger is the only one still missing. I haven't seen any feathers but we have 8 acres of tall grass so she could be in there if the dog got her. But I'm staying hopeful. When we first got our hens she escaped because of how afraid she is. I didn't even get hr in the coop. We chased her around and around and around the yard before she finally jumped up into some pines and went up about 10 ft. She is very very fast very small and has a lot of stamina. I was hoping to run her out of energy between my husband and I but it didn't work. Lol

So we nicknamed her fast little b*tch. Because that's what we were yelling when we were trying to catch her. We set out a live trap (like for racoons) and we caught her. So hopefully she hasn't learned her lesson with that and will be in there when we get home.

Easter Egger or Ameraucana. It depends on what egg color is layed. It definietly is NOT an Araucana because they lack the pointy tail feathers. The Easter Egger does not breed true since it is a hybrid, but the Ameraucana does breed true and is not a hybrid. The Ameraucana lays a light blue tinted egg while the Easter Egger can lay an egg in almost any color, but is typically olive. Hope that helps!
