Is it possible to train or prevent a duck from becoming aggressive?

Last night my two week old duckling was pecking at me in a very aggressive way. They normally will nibble on me as they would on each other, but last night it was more aggressive than it usually is. She/He was really grabbing on to my skin and pulling as hard as she could, and trying to bite my lip. They’re growing really fast and I want to prevent her/him from becoming too aggressive or prevent her/him from thinking it’s okay to bite my face.

I’m starting to think that she was irritated by the fact that she was hot and the background noise around the house. Still want to prevent this in the future.

Oh dear. I had a duckling like that from a batch of eggs I hatched, which eventually turned into an aggressive duck hen no matter what I tried as far as correcting the behavior went. We called it crotch duck because she would take a flying leap at us to bite us and hang off the front of our pants. Sometimes it’s genetic so I didn’t hatch any eggs from her.

You can try to move it away when it does this and ignore it or just stop handling it for a bit so it “forgets” the habit? Otherwise, I’m not certain anything can help. Up until I had crotch duck, I was certain behaviors could be corrected... but... it never did.

Well....experiments for duck jerky?

Can you even make meat jerky with duck meat?

I'm not saying most ducks would be expendable, just the ones that are a threat to the others. This was also a good topic for you to bring up also.
