Price of pigs in SD

At the last auction in SD, feeder pigs went for $10 each.

Too bad hubby told me NO on pigs

I even tried the pigs or sheep ultimatum and that didnt work.

(that was on advice from friends) Dh is a hard sell sometimes.

but, as with all animal investments, the initial investment is minimal...it's what goes in them that is the killer!

I can't even find feeder pigs in our area. Too bad he wouldn't let you get one. I've got the OK for three, but can't find them close enough. The ones I do find, 150 miles away are about $50 each.

Set up a thread on BYC started and take orders, get your trailer and head over to SD for the next sale.

Too bad fuel is over $4 a gal and dsl is worse

Poor pigs.
I can't even imagine something so cute being butchered for your taste buds. I want to get a PET pig and name her Moo but my dad has said "no". He says the neighbors wouldn't enjoy her so much.

Wow. We sell our weiner pigs for $35 to $50 each. Great for buyer but very sad for producer.

$10 each for pigs is a good price! My husband bought 2 full blooded hampshire pigs 2 weeks ago and paid $90 for the pair...... The people in this area would love to find pigs at that price, they are hard to find here!
