True, my property is perimeter fenced, at least 2.5 acres (about half of the entire property) of it is. Still, how on earth would you say that 30 birds on 2.5 acres roaming free through the woods are not freeranged? You cannot. Just because at the end of the day, I corral them into a smaller enclosure to wind down and do a headcount, doesnt mean they are "yarded". The USDA would love to change the meaning of words for their own purposes, like "grass-fed". I am not a business, but I put a label on my clean cartons that says "Fresh Free Range Eggs from Happy Hens" and "These Eggs Are Ungraded" and "Guaranteed Fresh". The people who buy them have seen them running loose when they come to pick them up and have had to scrape the poop off their shoes. I doubt I'll have to justify my labels.

Dang, I'm selling my eggs $1.25 a dozen. My mother's doctor fussed at me and told me I should sell them for $3 a dozen. Cage Free Brown Organic eggs sell for $3 a dozen here at the local Wally World, it's higher at HEB. I guess I should go up to $2 a dozen and $3 for 18 eggs. Gonna give it a try.
