Sorry, not selling any of my Prairies at this time. I'm rebuilding my breeding stock.
Other than myself, there are only 2 other people in the States that raise Greater Prairie chickens, that I'm aware of, Prairie Ridge and another individual breeder. There are also, the Attwater Prairie Chicken Preservation Society and one other Society that breed and release prairies.
Prices for the eggs are $250/doz. and $300/doz. respectively. Prairie Ridge also sells chicks, straight run and paired breeders.
Prairies require a huge enclosure and have special demanding care requirements.

I'm addicted to the hatching thing right now . Wasn't going to get chickens now I've hatched out game fowl . Just won an auction for some copper Morans and a seperate one for blue copper marans . Think it's the brown egg thing lol ! Wasn't going to get ducks now I have 20 appleyard & khaki Campbell mix eggs in incubator . Have hatched chukar courtinix quail, bobwhites OMG when will it stop lol! J pheasant eggs I've been unlucky won acuction for 10 mix . The lady sent 15 extra Free only one egg hatched . And the poor thing got ate when I put in a pen outside .
Yeah, i'd say you have the bug bad! Lol. i started w chickens... Then added ducks... Then quail... then geese. Had turkeys for one summer. I've sold mixed chicks (Brahma roo x red ranger hen = large orange feather footed bird) to cover feed. I hatch some kind of something every uear mostly to end up in the freezer. Would like to sell quail day-olds this spring.
I've found once you figure out your incubator it's kinda hard to stop yourself.

Not to enable anyone else's hatching "problem" but I just put an add on Craigslist and found someone to trade my fertile quail eggs for her welsh harlequin hatching eggs *smacks head*.
So if you have breeding groups of even some of these birds you may have a good trading commodity as well.

Exactly lol! I think one I hatch these ducks and marans I'm done for a while . Well with the exception of a few jumbo pheasant eggs I wanna get lol! Then I'm done I think lol!

Ok another question I have just planted a blueberry patch . Put the necessary acid fetilizer in . Is quail manure stronger than chicken manure and what ratio to soil should I mix for my berries and garden . If this is not the right forum please direct me lol!
