Solved Problem Uploading Large Picture

Is there a max file size when uploading pictures to threads? I ask because the attached file will not load unless resized.

If I try to upload my 6016x4000 sized photos (which is the size they come off my camera) it comes up with a message telling me they are too big. I reduce them to 80% (5415x3600) and that allows me to upload the photo.

I downloaded the image and tested uploading it to one of my albums. It worked fine. It clearly states when uploading that images will be resized so that they are no bigger than 2000 pixels x 2000 pixels. The image that was uploaded to my album was not resized. I did not attempt to actually post the image since it was not mine and have since deleted it. It did work fine in the album at its full resolution. I have read elsewhere about a 10 MB limit on file sizes but at 2 MB it falls well within that limit. I also read in more than one place about the 2000 pixel limit which this image is well beyond.

It worked fine for my picture.

It is obvious that the code behind the "Upload a File" button on the message box is not the same as the code for the "Upload Image" button in the albums.

Your BYH test implies that there is a code error behind the "Upload a File" button on the BYC site that should be attended to by the appropriate person.

In addition to BYC and BYH, I tested it on two other xenforo forums. One worked, the other did not.

Thanks for all the great digging and testing! We're looking into this and hope to have some ideas soon.
