Hello i need urgent advice I have a hen that is drinking lots I had a look in her throat tonight and it’s looks like it’s food stuck in the top of her throat we managed to get some out to see im hoping it’s not canker the advantage we have is the water source can’t be accessed by wild birds etc as they are roofed in I’ll attach the photos please help the first is her mouth and second is what came out

Yeah she was getting a bit stressed so we stopped it had a sort of yeast smell to it we went a bit further and it was like stuck but would come off

Canker is said to have a rotten odor. It looks like it could possibly be canker if it is not feed, a yeast infection or wet fowl pox, which may all look similar. Have you seem
n any fowl pox scabs? Is she having trouble swallowing, is there a bad odor, and do you notice any yellow gunk inside her cheeks on her tongue? Many use ronidazole or AquaZole to treat canker in chickens.
