Production Red?

i KNOW he’s a Roo — LOL. Came from Ideal Hatchery in a lot of 4 assorted “pullets” (ahem!). I’m guessing Production Red??

Yes, but looks like a RI red too. I just figure that any NH or RI reds are Production if it came from a hatchery
I have 2 production hens, but they look a bit more NH then RI

That's my guess. He's really pretty. I have ten of them that were sent as warmer chicks.

Yes, Production Red. Rhode Island Reds are so dark in color they're almost purple.
He's a very handsome man!

Just checking as he’s going bye-bye tomorrow. I’d rather keep the Salmon Faverolle Roo (which was ALSO supposed to be a pullet). LOL.

I don't know if all Production reds are the same, but Ideal's are "RIR" x New Hampshire red.

I think that still makes them a production red.
My 2 look so different, one more plump and one thinner

I think that is a RIR.
Of course, they are supposed to be darker, but it's pretty dark for a hatchery bird.
