Im getting so confused. I thought I knew what it was, but now there are so many different opinions and answers its confusing me. What are Production Reds?

From my understanding a production red is the same thing as a hatchery rir. These have been crossed with leghorn.

I stand corrected.

Production Red to me:
A Rhode Island Red or variation of that has been bred for massive production of eggs. These birds are all red or an "orangish" color that is not considered either red or the same color as NHR.
