PRODUCTION Toulouse Geese Thread!!

Oh no the fence to the dogs is eight feet high, it's a metal fence with bars about two inches apart from each other so the dogs can see the geese, but from the ground about a foot up is some fencing so the dogs can't reach through or anything.

Maybe she's molting? When do geese molt? Not a solid trail but a feather or two about ten feet apart each.

This is the fence. The brown dog in the fence loves the geese but my golden retriever not in the pic wants to eat them. The fence in the middle was the separation fence for the geese on Saturday.

I see in the pic she´s still leaving a feather trail, so she must be moulting. Good, that rules out something carting her off! Just clip a wing, then. should stop it.

What a relief it all ended ok!

I'm glad to hear you have a good high fence between them. After my dog got my gander [didn't hurt him] but it was a miracle, I get extremely nervous when people talk about their dogs wanting to kill their geese because i have seen first hand how easy that can be done. My 2 -4 months old have been losing some feathers, matter of fact Toots has had this one feather hanging off her butt for about a week I have wanted to pull off, I tried once but it wasn't ready yet.

I'm surprised because everyone in my neighborhood owns a dog, they just all happened to be inside.... My golden retriever killed my Khaki Campbell last May.

It can happen so fast, my dogs have all grown up with these ducks and geese but after my gander picked on my mix for so long she had had enough, Thank goodness it worked out for Kiwi to be found alive and brought back home. A miracle for sure.

They are so cute together, I sure wish you'd give them a bucket though so they can clean out their eyes and nares. that chicken waterer isn't right for geese.

There's a big bucket I usually bring them and let them play in for a couple hours a day, but then they splash all the water out. I was looking for big kiddy pools today so they would have water left after they play in it but most are put up for the winter.
