Sara´s very similar in her face to one of mine...Give him/her time. My three Toulouse were 4 months old when I got them and they came from a drop-shipper that did not have the best of knowledge of proper goose care and hygiene. The smelled really bad and had feathers picked or rubbed off of their backs. The warmed up to me within a couple of weeks and now follow me around and get all excited when they see me come out the back door of the house. These are my three..

They are Sting (gander), Lydia (his girlfriend) and Pauline (old maid/poor thing).
And these are my two Boxer/Bulls BT (for Black and Tan) and Sara. They are sisters. BT is about 80 pounds and Sara is around 70-75. Sara got bit by a Copperhead a month or so back but managed to survive with proper care but us should have seen her. Her face and head were twice the normal size.
Looks rather female to me, just the way it´s stood. Let´s hope you managed to get a gal!
Sounds good! At least they have goose company, which is so good, especially for Pear. Kiwi will learn from Pear. Some of more nervous goslings have become a lot tamer since I put my imprinted ones out there with them.

Aren't they funny. when we were talking about mating I have to share this story, first mating season Missy was something else she would throw herself at Sammy literally, well I had a wide ramp going up to the stock tank I had set up for winter bathing, they got to the top and she pounced on Sam they were headed for the tank but she couldn't wait, well he tried to oblige her but somehow they both ended up falling off the ramp That was the funniest thing I ever saw them do. They got up shook themselves off and got in the tank. This year she wasn't quit as forward as her first year. And Toots doesn't lay down in the water for Sam he just climbs on and off pretty fast. Today he was in the pool for quite a while with Babe never once got frisky.Look at that flat back! And arched neck....well, there´s no uncertainty with those two, then!
So Toots isn´t actually mating with Sam, then? Just letting him climb over her? They´re just babies, another couple of months and it should be clearer. (December!) Funny about the pair the first year!
