As of this a.m. our weather is now back to normal Fall temps. High today in the mid to upper 70's. It will be interesting to see if Sting continues to mate with the girls or if their systems kick back in and they shift back to normal. I know weather supposedly plays a lesser roll in breeding instincts than does ambient lighting but I think that is what got everyone going. I know yesterday my Khaki Campbell and Blue Swedish drakes were going at it trying to establish dominance to the point I had to isolate the Swedish. I will put him back in with the others this a.m. and hope things have calmed down with them as well. My Cayugas hit 20 weeks old yesterday and there is a lot of head bobbing going on with them also.Maybe it´ll settle down now until the proper breeding season.
Life on the farm is certainly never dull.
