This is why I keep saying over and over Please put you flocks up at night for their protection and your not having to go what your going through right now. This is so heart breaking.

I locked them both up last night and Pear was in the back, when I let Kiwi out pear didn't get up. ): She died from whatever happened yesterday morning around 7

We just can never underestimate a predator, I cannot tell you how sad I feel, following her through losing both her friends way back and then you finding Kiwi for her and now this, It's just so heart breaking

I'm sure people get so tired of hearing me harp on locking your flocks up at night but I know they are not safe and Pear has just proved it with her life.
I bet Kiwi is beside himself.

Shock most likely, they really take death of one of their own hard. Try to spend as much times as you can with him, right now he needs alot of love. Ya'll will be good for each other.

I feel so awful that he was locked up with her while she was dead for however long it was..

I know poor fellow, but hopefully he'll get over it, I have heard of geese dying from losing a mate [grieving] that's why I said spend alot of time with him.
