PROFESSIONALLY Photograph your chicks for under $2.00!

I haven't had my white box at home for a while. I moved the majority of my equipment to my mom's when she moved to town, as she had a better space for me there. But, your invention made me want to get something rigged up for my chicks. I made a white version of your box today. I added a sheet of aluminum foil at the opening, tilted slightly towards the chick to illuminate the shadows.

Chris (do you prefer Chris or Christopher? -- My brother's name is Christopher and he goes by Chris), do you bathe your chicks before you photograph them, or are they just that fluffy?

Well DANG girl! Steal my thunder wont ya??? Thats AWESOME!

And no I dont bathe the babies, I pull them right outta the brooder. I only bathe when I go to the shows, otherwise y'all are seeing 100% pure "D" dirty birds...

You helped me with it, so thank you!

I don't bathe mine either (unless their tushies need cleaning). Some never fluff out all pretty-like though. Your little fluffybutts are always so purdy.

I did a 4 sided box with only a single hole cut through the top, just like Chris did. White bounces more light than black, and I also added a "reflector" in using the aluminum foil.

OK... the opening of your box, where you will have your camera directed to photograph the chick. Slip a piece of aluminum foil underneath the box, but leave a good length of it hanging out towards you. What is hanging towards you, curl upward, but be sure to leave (or carefully tear out) a gap for your camera to still be able to see the chick through.
