Project: Carpenter's Wheel Medallion *COMPLETE! See post 71 *

Thanks! Will do another plain border, probably a deep purple to tie it all together, then not sure-maybe a row of 12" blocks as a pillow tuck across the top. Open to suggestions. This about covers my queen mattress from bottom of pillow area to footboard.

Good morning, all! Working on this quilt today while the rain pours and my teeth throb. I think I'll make a pillow tuck, several 12" blocks across the pillow area, but not sure where I'll go after that. All input appreciated! This pic shows how it fits on my old, lumpy queen mattress-please ignore the ragged striped thing underneath-till my elderly dog passes, not going to put a nice quilt on it. The quilt block on my pillow is left over from another recent quilt project and I think I'll use that pattern, in colors to match this one.

Just caught up today.

Since the medallion is set on point, what about setting the blocks in the pillow cover on point.
The nine patch in the corner of the medallion could be alternated to repeat the pattern.... if that makes sense.

I like the impact of the colored border strips with the heart border.

Looking Good. The triangles of the background print line up the same direction.
Even though the "star" in the medallion and the "star" in the pillow strip are different blocks, the stars are in alignment.

You know, rather than just a pillow tuck area, I'm going to run these on-point stars all the way around, add a plain border and that's it. I think I have enough of the fabrics in the stars, but I'm going to need some more for the setting and outside corner triangles so I'll check at Walmart when I buy groceries today.
