Project: Carpenter's Wheel Medallion *COMPLETE! See post 71 *

Yeah, we're snowed in so that's why I've gotten this one finished (the rows of blocks I was going to use on the sides and bottom of Ranee's quilt will make a nice lap quilt) and got the TN Waltz one basted. Time to sit back and quilt at a leisurely pace.

Thanks, all. I put Ranee's quilt top away and also, put up my sewing machine and all my fabric bins for a break so I can quilt the TN Waltz and then Ranee's. My diningroom table looks odd without all that stuff on it, LOL. I need a break so I don't get burnt out after quilting non-stop for maybe a year.

Time to hatch babies! I have BBS Orps and Delawares in the bator and will be doing a big hatch in March, so for a bit, I'm going to be back to raising chicks and just quilting at a casual pace.

..it is beautiful Cynthia..Ranee is a lucky girl!

that is a very beautiful quilt and for sure she will love and treasure it! I've been quilting for over 30 yrs and mainly handquilts in a floor frame. I have machine quilted last year to make a couple quilts for the grandkids.
I've been so unmotivated to get the frame out but your pictures seem to poke me into getting back into it. My mother and myself made many quilts and took them to Kutztown Festival in Pennsylvania every summer and made some egg money at it.
Keep us posted on your progress

I sold my huge floor frame--my current house isn't large enough for it and the basement is only about 45 degrees so no way I'd go down there! I do it in an oval hoop sitting on the couch. Thanks for the compliments, all!
