Project: Crested EE

She does have a blue egg test that was in development and I believe it is now available! I am planning on getting that done from her in the future.
@TheSilkieLab correct me if I’m wrong! If she sees this message, I am also wondering if the blue egg test differentiates between one copy of the blue egg gene or two copies. I know the lavender color test does but I’m not sure if it’s possible with the egg color test.
The lab in Florida can differentiate between o . O and O . O for the blue egg gen.

First 8 in the incubator for this project!

Project #2 start. This project started the first time I test hatched eggs from my flock. The concept was there already. It's why I ordered Spitzhauben, Ameraucana and Phoenix from Cackle.

I have four F1 hens out of Spitzhauben x Ameraucana. Project will use two roosters and thirteen hens.

Project: Crested EE

Roosters
Rooster #1 Black Crevecoeur - Cirrus Thunder
Rooster #2 Lavender Ameraucana - Cumulo Nimbus

Hens
Hen #1 Black Crevecoeur
Hen #2 Lavender American Orpington
Hen #3 Lavender Mottled American Orpington
Hen #4 Lavender Ameraucana
Hen #5 Lavender Ameraucana
Hen #6 Lavender Ameraucana
Hen #7 Black Ameraucana
Hen #8 Black Ameraucana
Hen #9 Black Ameraucana
Hen #10 Black F1 Spitzhauben(Spitz) x Ameraucana
Hen #11 Black F1 Spitz x Ameraucana
Hen #12 Black F1 Spitz x Ameraucana
Hen #13 Blue F1 Spitz x Ameraucana - Sterling

Not sure I'll be keeping the blue F1 in this pen. All F1s lay green, blue green or blue eggs. Will get pictures of all birds in project soon.

Thank you for this! I do indeed now have the Blue Egg gene tests available and you can find that here: https://thesilkielab.com/product/blue-egg-gene/

The test can tell between one or two copies of the gene! We also offer a Recessive White and a the Lavender Test :) All three will tell you if your bird carries zero, one or two copies of each gene. Please feel free to reach out if anyone has any questions!
