I'm merely curious about your claim to have used activated Oxine. Did you activate it with citric acid and how exactly did you use it on your hen?

I see the PDF copied in (thanks Wyorp Rock!) so I'll just answer your specific question.

I used [canning] citric acid ... 3.75 tsp ozine + .5 tsp citric acid; mix well for ~ 5 mins; add to half gallon of water. I don't know if it's necessary but I used glass for all the mixing ... and stepped outside until after I poured the mix into the water. I used both a fogger and a cool mist vaporizer and I don't think there was much difference between them. I generally ran about a cup of the solution through. The fogger was faster but loud (about ~5 mins) so opted for the vaporizer most of the time with took about 30 mins (had to dump most of the solution in and then dump the unused (which was most of it.) 1 x a day for 3 days; 2 days off and 3 days on again (following the advice in the article.) After using unactivated for literally months, I didn't expect it to help so quickly but that's all it took.

I was able to read it. Fascinating. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around using activated Oxine directing on poultry, though.
