If you think the condition is serious, I wonder if maybe it would get more reads if it were titled with a more urgent title? It is also a bit late...good luck! Hang in there.

Hoping you get some insight. Poor girl.

I just wanted to post in case it is a while till anyone else does. If she bled when she layed, I think it is some sort of injury in her egg tube or something(not sure of the name of it) I think what I have read to do in that situation, is keep them dark to keep her from laying any more until she has a chance to heal up. If she just keeps on laying, she will re-injure herself each time. Probably don't want to give her any soaks, it seems like that started the bleeding back up? I would give her high protein foods, make sure she is drinking good, and keep her in the dark.
Hopefully someone with some experience in this will be able to help.

Thanks Carrie

I dunno know what is wrong, I feel like I have tried everything. if it was Egg Yolk Peritonitis I should feel the fluid in her chest, I am not feeling anything different in that area. If it was egg bound you would think the soaks would help. I feel so bad for her, she is more of a pet so I am hoping I can save her. She eats, drinks, and poos fine. I hope some one will have an idea.

Thanks again Carrie!

Gosh, I don't know. It sounds like you've tried all the standard stuff. Is there an icky odor coming from her? I've never had to deal with it, but there have been a couple of threads lately dealing with vent gleet, aka yeast infection. Maybe try putting some anti-fungal cream on her vent and see if that helps, I don't think it would hurt anything.

That is what I was thinking until she bled. Now I am second guessing myself. I wish things would start calming down around here! lol It has been one thing after another!

I don't know if it is vent gleet, but I do know that a bad yeast infection can irritate the surrounding tissue to the point of bleeding. My nephew had a really bad case of athelets foot (yeast infection) and the area where his toes and feet met cracked and bled. I can't imagine trying to pass an egg under those conditions. It did finally convince that stubborn boy that not wearing socks and putting his feet back into the same grungy sweated out tennis shoes day after day wasn't a really great idea.

Right now I am going to start treat as vent gleet, if any one has any other ideas I would love to hear them. I really would like to help her, she is the family pet.

Thanks to everyone who has tried to help too!
