I was watching one of my chickens lay an egg. She was having a rough time. I looked at her bottom and it looked like her guts were coming out. I freaked out and hurried and picked her up and put her in the brooder. I went back in to grab my phone and when I went back, what looked like her guts is no longer there. It's not laying anywhere either. And there's no egg. What's happening to her??!! I've seen hens lay eggs before and ive never seen this.

** I've been having issues with lash eggs and shelless eggs. Could this be her doing that?!

Is the vent back to normal at this time? Does she still seem to be straining to lay an egg? The cloaca where the oviduct and large intestines meet, can come out when a prolapse occurs. The large intestines can come out farther, and a prolapse can be danger of cannibalism if the other chickens notice the red tissue coming out, and peck at it.

Egg binding can happen with a prolapse, so I would feel around for a stuck egg. Give her a dose of human calcium in tablet form or a Tums orally, or crushed into some egg to ear. Also try to get her to drink water, since dehydration can lead to egg binding.

Take pictures if there is a prolapse. If it does prolapse again apply honey or oil to keep the red tissue moist, since drying out can cause death of the tissue.

I had a Light Brahma hen that did the same thing as your hen except she laid the egg and her innards almost retracted after she laid the egg. There was a small piece of flesh sticking out the vent. I gently pushed it in and put Prep H on it and around her vent. Never had a problem after that.
In your case, I guess your hen retracted the egg. I also suspect she might be the one laying lash and shelless eggs. However I would try to keep an eye on your other birds. You can check the nests when the hens "announce" that they laid an an egg.
Here's a link you might want to read regarding lash eggs:

She's in the brooder and I assume the stress has stopped her from trying to push the egg out. So, she'll stay in there until she lays it. The, whatever it was, isn't there anymore. She's still pooping and has water in there with her. I also crushed some egg shells and put that in there. Poor thing was standing as straight as a pole and pushing and pushing when I was watching her before this happened. I have preparation h wipes. Will those work or does it have to be the cream?

Whatever that was has gone back in. But my phone is charging and everytime I go outside, my phone goes with me. I was so freaked out before that I didn't think of taking pics.

You should feed bones grounded into powder to prevent the chicken from laying shelless eggs. Once a egg had no shell, and I fed the chicken bones, and it never happened again.
