Female quail. Over 2.5years.
Doesn’t lay anymore.
Prolapsed quite a lot. Have helped her put back in, but she keeps bringing it out.
Have tried water and petroleum jelly and some sugar as read online.
Little bit of blood.
What can I do!

Have you tried an epsom salt bath? The water should be warm, about quail body temp or a couple degrees warmer. (104-107F)

Keep her in a warm, dim place after her bath to help her relax. Tensing up can make it worse.

Do you have pics? How bad is the prolapse?

Yes I’ve tried Epsom salt as well. She is in a warm dark place just now.
Should I try to put it in or not? Because she keeps putting it out again. I’ll attach a picture

I would leave her alone for 12 hours or so. You might want to change the bedding to rough paper towels or a cloth towel to keep things from sticking to it. You might see if you can get her to eat a bit of calcium carbonate. That might help.

It might go in by itself. If it doesn't, however, you may have to make a choice. Vet or cull.

I see. And how long can it take to heal?

Also, I’ve read online to keep it moist and stop it from drying as that can lead it to die. How do I keep it moist, what should I use?

Is this suitable? I can run and grab from shops just now
