I think if you can get her to a vet that would be best course of action. I know it isn't always feasible but she needs more help than you probably able to give her.

So sorry for your loss.Thanks guys. No need to respond. It looked pretty bad and I know birds dont show pain like other animals. She wasn't drinking or eating and I couldn't let me hang around not knowing if she was in pain or not. I had to take a life today but we brought four more lives home. We will never get pekins again though. We love and have not had any problems with our Welsh Harlequins.

As hard as it is, you did the right thing. I don't own ducks but do have chickens. After letting one with Ascites die of it, I won't do that again. My chickens aren't my pets, but I won't let a pet suffer either. Sometimes the kindest thing for them is the hardest for us.Thanks guys. No need to respond. It's never easy euthanizing an animal, but I think you did the right thing.It's kinda funny because I was in Iraq and did a lot of things and I would do them again but I had a hard time culling our duck.
