Oh let me tell you just be patient and be consistent. I did a warm epsom salt bath and put a warm compress on her vent for 20 min... I cut the feathers around her vent, and used Vetericyn plus, lubed her up with grape seed oil and then Neosporin. And pushed the vent in as much as I could. I did this twice a day for 6 days. And one day it just stayed in. It was the best day!!Thank you so much for the update. I’m dealing with this right now and needed to hear some positive news. How long did it take her to heal? The photos you posted look so much like mine.

Now she lays and is so happy. You just need to be consistent and do the baths.
Definitely order that spray and I would open the vent and stream spay it in then spray on the outside.
Good luck. I feel your struggle. You can do it![]()
Thanks for all your helpGreat job Colette! I knew you could do it!
Couldn’t have done it with out youGreat news and thanks for the update.

Thank you. I just bought something similar yesterday, but I haven’t used it yet. I felt it was more important to use something that would keep her moisturized, and she isn’t showing any signs of abrasion or infection. She also does not like her soaks. I will keep trying. She also laid an egg this morning, even though I’m keeping her in a dark area most of the day. Thank you for the encouragement.@amanda1 heres the amazon link for the spray
