Prolapsed vent! help !

My girl did not like being in a bath soak either @amanda1
She fought me like crazy. But make sure you soak a cloth and put it up on her vent. That helps.
My hen laid three times in the beginning.
How is she doing now?

My girl actually started liking her soaks after she got used to it. I’m thrilled to report she is back in business laying me eggs daily, happy and healthy! After she healed she started laying weak shelled, cracked eggs. Based on everything I read I was about to give up hope. A chicken friend of mine recommended feeding chia seeds. They are high in calcium as well as other nutrients. I’ve been soaking about 1/4 cup in water for about 10 minutes, adding some ground flax seed, a tablespoon or two of yogurt and a dash of cinnamon. Make sure it’s kind of like an oatmeal consistency. I’ve been feeding that to the flock for over a week and now her eggs are amazingly strong. I’m so happy. I hope your girl is better now too!
