I just went to pick up my hen and her rear end was all wet and there is something hanging out of her vent. What should I do?!

It went back in and I am giving her a warm
Bath to clean her up, but not using soap.

That looks kind of egg shaped...could she be egg bound as well? Get a disposable glove and feel around the prolapse for an egg. If you can't feel it, then lubricate a finger, and poke it an inch or two inside the vent, feeling for an egg. If you feel an egg, try to get it out gently without breaking it. If there is no egg, then apply some honey or Preparation H on the red tissue, and try to push it back inside. If you get it back in, hold it there for a few minutes. If you can't, then try again later. It may come back out, but just push it back in as often as you can. Keep her vent clean, and make sure that she is pooping. Place her in a darkened room for 16 hours every night for a few days to get her to stop laying.
