I have a buff orpington hen that has not laid eggs since I got new chickens. Just walks around eats and drinks but no eggs. Now I have found her in the carport just standing. about 10 minutes later I notice that she is laying down(very unusual) I picked her up and started looking for anything wrong.
I found her vent was prolapsed and very extended (1/2 to 3/4 inch) I pushed it in and She started walking more normal. I checked next day and again the prolaps. How do i correct this issue?

Generally you keep pushing it in. Some say to use preparation H. I have found once they prolapse it can be hard to fix. Keep her away from any other birds. If the tissue get picked it's definitely over with. I have had no luck fixing any and we generally cull when it happens now.
