When i went down to collect eggs today i found a chicken on the nest. She had something frozen all over her butt(and possibly vent) its been quite cold here lately so my first thought was that it was just some frozen poop and cleaned her off in water water, but as i cleaned i saw what is almost like a red bubble thing near her vent. I dont think its is frozen anymore. Shes currently in a makeshift cage in the basement while i wait on what to do from yall.
EDIT: the red bubble thing is like a lump coming out of her vent/maybe butt

That is very different. Nothing I've seen before.

Hmmmmm. Is there blood anywhere?

Oh, no. :hugs Keep her inside if your parents will let you. the Yellow goop is most likely from a broken egg, and the red lump part of her reproductive tract. I haven't had to try to fix this, just seen the same goop on the inside after processing. When a hen was having reproductive issues. Hopefully someone who's fixed it before will come along.
