prolapsed vent!

Weve applied the preparatio H. Waiting for swelling to go down now. As soon as it does ill push it in. We have a towel in the crate as bedding. Should we try to completely clean off the feathers around the vent first? Its mostly clean just has a little bit of poop on then

Been soaking in epson salt. About to apply ointment now
Yes, all that needs to be cleaned up before you push the tissue back in. It's quite swollen, so it may not stay in. If it doesn't, then keep the tissue moist with the PrepH

I agree, you need to check to make sure there is not an egg in there too.

all of the poop needs to go... if the water is like chest deep and you gently push down on her back, she should lay down and relax in the water.

How did it go? Update?
We successfully cleaned off and pushed vent/thing back in. Today i found this:

what is this? Is it infected? What can i do?

the picture's really blurry. Can you describe it for us?
Like white gelatinous matterial in like a glob and strings. Upon cleaning her off it appears that it is fully prolapsed again and shes trying to poop but its stuck. The white stuff isnt coming off in the bath

As i was batheing her she showed discomfort(in the form of high pitched murmering and feathers standing up around her neck) as i applied pressure by the base of her tail feathers

I am so sorry.
She is not in good shape if she is complaining like that.
Have you thought about putting her down?
