Prolapsed Vent

We have a 3 week old chick with a prolapsed Vent. We have tried to treat it but she still struggles with it. Will she be able to produce eggs in the future? Has anyone ever experienced this problem?

I hope your chick is better? I've never seen prolapse in a chick although I have a hen who has had it twice.
I'd try rubbing a bit of coconut oil on it. (Wear clean gloves) Then pressing on it with a warm, damp cloth. I hope that helps.

Thank you. I will definitely give that a try. We've been spraying Vetericyn on it and my Wife thinks it looks better.
