Proof raccoons can climb over the fence

I saw that story too and my first thought was "Well everyone who thinks they can raccoon proof their coop by putting the entrance up higher is screwed..."

don't feel safe anymore. Can they climb metal downspouts? I saw the video, it looks like a young raccoon maybe he just didn't know it was impossible. Was it able to come down or did it get rescued????

Better neuter it before it passes it's genes on to more wall climbers.

The raccoon actually made it to the top of the building, some 24 or 25 stories up. Wildlife management had a trap set with cat food on the roof and the coon was trapped and released.

Hey, if a raccoon can climb the side of a building like that and get 25 stories up, there is no fence that it won't be able to climb. People who live where there are raccoon's better make sure that the have coops and runs that are built like Fort Knox!

It made it to the top were it was caught and released into some land in the country.

Maybe they should sent down South to RR4 Liberty, Mississippi for James Eubanks, and get him to climb that building and knock that coon off of his perch.

I was reading what you have tacked onto the bottom of your post, the Keep your chickens safe from predators, buy and wear fur. Where do you find and buy coyote coats at?
