This is OUR 1st. Merry GO ROUND , SO please don't KNOCK OURSELVES out laughing at me . We are using a LARGE PARROT cage for our baby chicks . Hubby is using a small to mid size lamp inside the cage , IS it best to LAY this lamp down on bottom of cage , OR stand it UP and attach lamp with ROPE to hold in position , I don't know , but I feel weird , laying this lamp down inside of this cage .

I would think laying it down might be dangerous in starting the bedding on fire and possibly burning a chick. I would go for suspending the lamp, less worry.

hanging it off a rope is the best thing to do.
