proposed marans x rock meat cross

I am planning to cross one of my BCM roos over a few of my barred rock hens so i can get a sex linked type. then separate the roos from the pullets and raise the roos for dedicated meat birds. Then sell/trade the pullets just as mixed chicks at the local flea market ( i sell birds there already) does anyone have experience with this or similar cross, and what are your thoughts on caponizing them. thanks

I have raised BCM/Cuckoo marans crosses, and will also be using a barred rock with my BCM rooster.
It's a great way to know right away which are girls and which are boys. Guaranteed day old pullets are an easy sell. The boys were chunky little things, even though we ended up having to process them really young.

No thoughts on caponizing, though.
