To post pictures - use the Uploads link in the upper blue bar - it will open a new window. Then you find the pictures on your computer/camera - and upload to BYC. Use the img link to post them in your posts. Or if you host on photobucket - you can use the image link/code there to post the pictures here.

Ok new at trying this. I really want the pics in my post not as a link...I'm learning!!!!

Here are the babies who are very interested in them. The all gather at the fence and watch them.

He may be nervous about the new surroundings so you should give him time to get used to you, but I just want to give a word of caution. Even a small rooster can really hurt a child. My sister's friend had a bantam rooster that was a pet, and no other chickens. They'd had him for over a year and all was well. But one day he attacked the 18mo daughter while she was playing in the back yard near him, leaving her with cuts all over her face and arms and scratches in her eyes. Thankfully her vision was unaffected, but it could have turned out very differently. If he doesn't calm down, don't trust him with your kids. There are plenty of nice roosters to keep a mean one around.

Sweet talk him, give him some treats.... let him know you will take care of him and his gal just as well as your friend did! He should come around, if he doesn't don't keep an agressive roo! You could set up a play yard/run for them that you can fit into... try ust sitting in there with them so he can get to know you at a distance and he will gradually get used to you as a "non-threat", he should warm up!
