Okay, I'm in a private school, but can I join this thread please?

Personally, I don't mind going to a school with 1000 people. I think it's a good experience. Graduation is something everyone looks forward to here, the entire year level suddenly becomes matey and spend a week or so doing fun, un-schoollike stuff. LL98: Good luck. I'm sure you'll do fine, starting at a new school always used to blow for me, but I settled in given time. I've been to four schools. I realise that's not much compared to some others, but yeah, it's enough! I've got some fantastic buddies now, and we have almost nothing to do with the popular crowd besides the odd exchange of words.

Public school is gonna be a new experience for me....I've only been to private schools before I was home schooled...

And I was one of the popular girls at my old school.

I used to be part of the "in" crowd when I was in 7th/8th grade, all the drama was going right over me and I'm pretty happy that I've found a few other slightly more mellow folks that I can geek around with when I feel like it.

I'm not a loner, but I have only a few friends that I can hang out with for more than half an hour. I get irritated pretty easily, and not many people like nerds.

I'm patient (for the most part), and I don't get angry easily...but I don't tolerate others very well anymore...

The thing that irritates me most about my school is the hallways. Huge groups of people will just stand around and chat and do stupid stuff in the hallways and clog them up. They leave a space big enough for one person to get through so we have to walk in a single-file line.

One time, I was walking through and 2 guys were messing around and one was trying to take something from the other. Right when I was walking behind him he swung his arm back and hit me in the stomach.

That has happened several times.

I don't like the annoying "popular" people at school... Some of them are okay, but most deserve beheading. Well, maybe not beheading, but...
