Hi everyone, I know I have only been part of this community for a couple days. But I have a chick who is not doing to well. She is one of many chicks who were shipped to a post office, and stayed over night without food, water, or heat. Many of the chicks died, and some if them were barely holding on. When I went to the feed store to get my chicks, slot of the chicks were lying down. The employees were trying to save them. When I got puffs she was perfectly fine. But by the time I got home she was struggling. She only ate the feed twice since last night, and I got her at noon yesterday. I have been giving her a little bit of egg yolk, and she has been drinking water. Tomorrow I will get some nutridrench, and mash feed and I will mix a bit of mash feed with water. If you could pray for puffs, it would be much appreciated. She needs it so much. I will do all I can to help her. Here are some pictures after I cleaned some yolk from her front.

I'm so sorry about Puff, such a sweet name.
Does she spend most of the time under the heat lamp? Sometimes chicks in this condition will get to hot and not be strong enough to move. Can you try to find out the temp were she is at with a thermometer? Tell us what the temp is? Maybe try moving her to a cooler section of the brooder, but not completely out of the heat, see if that helps.
Do you have the option to make a mash now? Try to put a tiny bit inside her beak and see if she will swallow it.
Its a good sign she's drinking. Can you add sugar to her water? That will give her a boost. See if you can get her to eat a bit of Molasses off the end of your finger, that can also help boost chicks as well.
Keep us updated, its a really good sign that she is drinking, you are doing a great job and its great you can pick those things up tomorrow. I will keep Puff in my thoughts! :hugs

Thank you. She is walking around every little bit. She spends time everywhere in her area of the brooder. I had to separate her form the other chicks in the brooder cause they were pecking her. She was sepperating herself from the rest and they were excluding her from their eating sessions.she is pecking the wall and laying down right now. The temp is 95. She is pecking at the wall again.she is high spirited, but lethargic and not eating. Butt pooping.

Keep dripping in egg yolk. If you can get to a pet store, you can make wet feed out of baby parrot feed, which is similar to chick feed but powdered - makes a really smooth paste - so much easier to Pipette or syringe feed. Best of luck to puff ❤️
